About The Event
Sometimes it’s hard to find words, but that’s what poets do. Sometimes it’s hard to find words alone, so we put our voices together. At this Earth Day write-in and poetry reading, we’ll gather at the California Writers Circle in Joaquin Miller Park to explore our relationship with and stand up for the dirt we stand on.
1:30 – 2:30: Come and write together. We will provide prompts focused on making local environmental change together.
2:30 – 4:00: We’ll feature some of our great local poets reading environmentally-focused literature.
Bring a laptop or notebook, and dress for the weather.
Park on Joaquin Miller Road and check in at Joaquin MIller’s Abbey for inspiration. Walk up Sanborn Road to the California Writers Circle.
